Divorce Support Group

Divorce support groups meet once a week and are private for registered members. New sessions start at the beginning of each month. Because we keep these groups small and cohesive, Ruby will coordinate to make sure there is a time that works for you to attend.

Our objective is to match you with others who are going through a comparable experience to yours so that we may support one another and tackle topics everyone could use help with. We often cover information about the various divorce alternatives available in California, the Marin court system, and how to handle it all while still managing your daily life. Sub-focuses may include but are not limited to parenting plans, health assistance, legal referrals, training on how to deal with narcissists, and more.

As we want you to be able to freely talk about what you are going through and feel safe in these communities, Ruby will do an initial intake call with each participant. This is to make sure there are no parties in conflict and that we match you appropriately for your small group. For example, much like an attorney’s office, we would not admit your ex into the program if you are already registered with us.

Please contact us so we can connect you with our community: nudge@thrivingadjacent.com or click through to schedule a complimentary inquiry call.

Still unsure? It never hurts to ask. Please reach out and let us answer any additional questions you may have.

  • Divorce is a deeply personal experience, and at Thriving Adjacent, our divorce support sessions are designed to provide a compassionate and supportive environment for those navigating divorce and all of its complexities. Here’s what you can expect during a divorce support session with us:

    Safe and Supportive Environment

Our sessions are held in a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express your feelings openly. We foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported throughout your journey. Participants are pre-screened to make sure everyone attending will be comfortable sharing with eachother.

    Shared Experiences

Divorce support sessions often involve group discussions where participants share their experiences, challenges, and memories. This shared experience can be incredibly healing, as it helps to realize that you are not alone in your journey and that others understand what you are going through.

    Coping Strategies

You will learn various coping strategies to help manage your grief. These may include mindfulness techniques, journaling exercises, breathing exercises, and other practical tools to help you navigate difficult emotions and situations.

    Emotional Expression

Our sessions encourage you to express your emotions freely, whether through talking, crying, or other forms of expression. This release is an essential part of the healing process, allowing you to process your feelings in a healthy way.

    Resource Sharing

We provide access to a range of resources, including books, articles, and online support communities, to help you continue your healing journey outside of our sessions. These resources are carefully curated to support your emotional well-being.

    Community Building

Beyond the immediate support, our sessions help build a sense of community among participants. Many find lasting friendships and support networks that extend beyond the sessions, offering ongoing encouragement and understanding.

Grief support sessions at Thriving Adjacent are about more than just coping with loss; they are about finding a path to healing and renewal, surrounded by a community that cares. We are here to help you navigate your journey with compassion and support every step of the way.
